Every Moment
Every Moment follows local artist Sahar Ghavimi over the course of two years as she works on a variety of art projects. Sahar reflects on the meaning of art and how her life has changed since immigrating to the United States from Hamedan, Iran. Original music by Sahil Jindal. This project was supported in part by a grant from the Fitchburg Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council.

New Heights is a brief 30-minute history of the public housing project Prospect Heights in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. I interviewed current residents and also people who had first moved there during the 1940s. My subjects told me that when they saw the documentary, they felt a new sense of pride at living in public housing instead of shame. New Heights acknowledges their struggles and illustrates how affordable public housing can help families out of poverty.
